Help How to update s3 mini

I am newbie. I have samsung s3 mini. I want to update the current version 4.1.2 to be 4.2.x. any body can help me how to update? I have tried to update automatically but it was not working. Your kind support in this regards is highly aprecciated.

The latest official firmware is 4.1.2 and Samsung seem unlikely to update this.

The only way you can update is to root the phone and install a custom ROM, in particular one by Maclaw Studio.
