How to Update the S3 Using a PC

Is there a way to update to the july 4th version without a ota? I read you can use your pc? Thanks!

You need to install kies onto your pc
Kies Samsung

Then connect your phone and if the update is available kies will recognise it and upgrade your phone.

Will itdo so even if its not available ota yet?

If it isn't available ota it will probably mean that it's not available for your carrier/region so kies probably won't. You can however download the firmware from samfirmware and flash with Odin
