So i have a boost mobile ZTE warp sequent it runs on ice cream sandwhich i want to update to jelly bean and when i look in the system update section it says im up to date? how can i update to jelly bean?

The simple answer is, you cannot. Until your service provider pushes an update to your phone, you're stuck with the OS they give you.
However, if you're brave enough to unlock your boot loader and root your phone, there may be some options for you.
