Help how to use magic as modem

i used android 1.5 and its not rooted. my pc can detect it but when i try to make it as modem, my pc ask for driver. can anyone help me?
 
Root it and install the cyanogenmod ROM that'll let you use the phone as a tethered modem or wireless access with an PC running almost any operating system. or buy pdanet and use it as a modem with windows PCs
 
Go to market place and download PdaNet onto your phone. Go to the following link PdaNet -- USB Tether/Bluetooth DUN for Android and download the free software to your PC. Run the software to install. Connect your phone via USB to your PC (the free version will only connect via USB). Start PdaNet on your phone and press "enable USB tether" you should now get a message to the effect of: "PdaNet is on and running........ - follow the on-screen instrucions and start Pdanet on your PC from the tray and you are in business!
