Root How to use Odin?

So I want to flash a recovery and a ROM to phone but I don't really know how to use odin. Can someone help?

Check the first post in the Welcome to Jellybean-Rooting thread, just a few threads down from this one.

Just follow the instruction posted by bkttk2 to the letter. When you open Odin, you'll see like this. Just make sure to Uncheck "Auto-Reboot" and put the tar file in the PDA section.




Once you see PASS!, you are done with Odin.




It took about 2 minutes with my OOTB JB Reverb.
