how to use Password Safe on Android

I've been using the program Password Safe
for many, many years on my computer. There is now an app and a sync app for Android (by Jeff Harris). I've got the syncing business worked out but I can't figure out how to actually *use* Password Safe on my phone! I can't seem to find instructions anywhere.

On my laptop, I open the program and can drag/drop or copy/paste the info onto a page I'm logging into.

Android doesn't work this way (having more than one program window open at the same time). Do any of you use this program? I'm stumped.

I use KeePass on Windows and Android (and the data file on the cloud, so they're always synced). Password Safe may work the same way on Android that I use for KeePass.

Open Password Safe. Set it up so you're at the account you need the login and password for. Look around, maybe in the menu. There should be a "copy login" and "copy password" function somewhere. (If not, they weren't thinking, and maybe you should use KeePass - it's free.)

Press Home. Run the other program. When you need the login, long-press Home, press Password Safe, copy the login, long-press Home, press the other app, long-press the input box and you'll get a Paste toast. Press it and the login is pasted in. Repeat for the password.

(If you have a Samsung with multi-window capability, put Password Safe in there. Then you can open a small version over the real app and get the login and password easier.)

It becomes a lot more automatic once you've been doing it for a little while than it sounds like. I only started doing it multi-window last night, and I think it's easier just wearing out the Home key. (And it makes a lot more sense than another way I've seen of making passwords easy - using the same one on all accounts. That's leaving signed blank checks all over town.)
