If your phone is rooted, it is totally possible. just install the wireless tether from the market and that turns your phone into a WiFi hotspot that your Ipod can connect to.
There's no "list of phones that are rooted". You have to root your device. There are a lot of guides out there and it doesn't make sense to reinvent the wheel again in this thread. Google around with your phone's model and the word root (maybe "how to" or something similar as well).
I know this sounds like I'm giving attitude but if you can't take the initiative to find information on rooting then you probably shouldn't be rooting. Rooting isn't for everyone.
for the actual topic: root access == super user access (compare admin rights in windows)
while rooting an android phone is comparable to "jailbraking" and iphone
by default an android phone user doesn't have access to root; by rooting your phone, you get access to stuff otherwise unavailable to you or any apps you install
Sorry for asking such a dumb question, but what does OP stand for? I really don't know what it stands for. Now I can guess but I see it often in threads and just wondered.
mrqs............thank you! I know it was a *duh* question but like I said, you learn something new every time you come in here and you are never too old to learn if someone is willing to teach.
