How to xfer pics from phone to computer?

Is it possible to transfer pictures in the gallery of my Motorola Droid directly to my computer via the USB cord?

My laptop does not "see" the phone when connected, and have yet to find anything on the phone itself that would lead me to believe it is possible.

My only option so far I have tried is to email them one at a time, and that takes forever for them to show up in my email.

Any help will be deeply appreciated.

does the phone ask you what to do when connected to the pc?
my desire asks
charge, sync, disk drive

i select disk drive and hey presto drive F: appears

No, all I get is a message that it is connected, and it automatically charges the battery...nothing else.

You have to open the message, then "Mount" the usb. It will then look like any other camera to the computer and you can then xfer the pocs.

click on that and then do you get more options?

My phone no longer connects to my laptop either. If your computer has a SD slot, just take the card out of your phone and do it that way.
