How would I create this?

I am wanting to make an Application for my Android Phone.

I want to it be just like Engadget's Application except I want it to pull the RSS Feeds from another website.

How would I go about creating this application?

I do have SDK installed along with Eclipse and the ADT Addon.
I am just looking for something to get me started. Code wise or a webpage with that will help me setup with what I want to do.

You can certainly google how to write code, but the truth is, people that want to do this usually take classes and get college degrees just to write code for apps. its not exactly something you can learn in an hour.
