Hello all!!!!! I've been browsing the forums searching for various tidbits of information, and thought I'd introduce myself. I have quite a few questions which I'll post elsewhere.
I've been an avid Blackberry user for many years. But lately I've been getting tired of the same interface every time I purchased a new phone. There was no fun in getting a more advanced phone. I've been reading about Android for many months to make sure this was the interface for me. Last week I gave in. My contract was up, so it was between the Blackberry Torch and the Samsung Captivate. Well, I'm sure you've guessed what I picked, or I'd be posting at Crackberry.
Well, I absolutely LOVE my phone and the Android OS (2.1). I'm also pumped about the touch screen interface. I was leery before the purchase about not having a tactile keyboard, but the transition has been flawless. I'm a very happy user, despite a few glitches.
I'm looking forward to talking with many of you and picking your brains about the problems I've been having. Eventually I hope to be a Super User and providing the same assistance to other "newbies".
Take care all!!!!!!!!!!!
