Just bought a Motorola Droid the other day (this is my first smartphone). I had my eye on this since last July, but had to wait until my last contract ended so I could switch carriers. Honestly, I never thought I'd switch carriers for a phone, but no complaints. So far this is my favorite phone that I've ever owned.
