How's your listening quality

It seems that the incoming sound on phone calls is slightly digitized relative to my GNex. It doesn't sound quite as natural to me. I actually haven't heard it on the other end, but it just doesn't sound quite as clear as some of my previous phones.

Anyone else experiencing that?

I'm not experiencing this at all and have called a few friends to get their feedback on how I sound coming across. The feedback they gave me is all good. I'm coming from a HTC Inspire (was pretty happy with the phone overall) and the sound was always an issue so anything would pretty be better for me at this point. Really loving the phone.

Have you tried changing the in-call sound EQ settings? I set mine to Clear Sound and I haven't noticed any issues.

Yeah, I did try changing the EQ settings, but I found I liked it better with it set to 'off'. It's really not a big deal and the difference is probably very subtle to most. But I've always been big on 'fidelity' and generally noticed the difference in sound between the Motorola family and other phones. I suspect the overwhelming majority of users would never notice it.

I did see one review though that did characterize the sound as a 'bit robotic'. So I may not be the only one to hear it.

On the whole though, I'm loving the phone and it looks like I'll be ditching my GNex.

To further my own post, I only just called my home phone (while I was at home) from my S3 and switched with my wife to hear it on both ends. I was very impressed at how it sounded on the receiving end. When she was speaking on my S3 and I was listening on my home phone, I honestly would not have known she was talking on a cellphone, it sounded very land line. Very impressive.

But I do think it sounds better on the receiving end than the listening end. But again, I'm probably splitting hairs.
