HSPA+ Vs LTE, Does it Really matter?

So baically all those attack ads on t-metro are unfounded because we they are playing safe and smart, by giving us the tip so to speak

What do you mean exactly? I'm just saying they're not using the full potential of the network just yet.

I was referring to the Verizon ads showing a shallow yet growing foot print and T-Mobile playing it safe by not going full fury.

they dont track what kind of data is used, use yoruy data allotment on edge/1xrtt and they will still throttle you.

You were absolutely right. Metro store even told me $40 plan has unlimited 3G, lol I should have known better than that. As soon as I hit 250MB they throttled my 3G speed down from 5 MB/s to a steady 0.01 MB/s. I had to jump to teh $50 plan cuz my data was so slow... I could barely use GPS :D

im doing pretty good now on the old CDMA line

less traffic, better speeds i suppose.

That's the old metro LTE(311-660) running on the same 10x10MHz as tmo in my are. Can only see it long enough before it kicks me off.

I also get great speeds recently on my CDMA Connect and I never got the update.

That being said , I now lose the signal and drops to 1x or freezes at least everyday or 2-3 times a day or more . Before merger the signal would come back on it's own .

Now I have to reboot to get the 4g signal back and sometimes it reboots all by itself when phone is running smoothly.

Bottom line...When working speed is really good ,but it constantly freezes or drops speed to 1x and needs to reboot to get it working again.

i thought the connect was a horrible phone and i didnt realize how bad it really was until i got the LG motion. the battery was horrid for the connect and i had to root it, use all sorts of power saver apps and widget apps, and get an extended battery just for it to work correctly. i didnt do any of these things with the motion as it worked right out of the box and its functionality made all the apps i used on the connect useless. the only reason i rooted it was for ad blockers. plus the motion allowed me to remove a lot of bloatware without root.

it was like moving out of the slums into a upper-class suburb.

I still have the CDMA S3 with of course band 2 LTE so no combined spectrum for this phone, and the LTE bandwith is only 5mhz, that being said speed is fine for the price.

The speeds are at least 1/4 the t mobile speeds but paying $40 for true unlimited vs making the gsm switch and paying $20 per month for the same service makes sense.
