Root Htc amaze 4g root

Ok first of all, why would you want unofficial CM9 lol.
I think that the Official CM10 would be better

or even CM10.1 (but its buggy) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2217021

As for rooting.
The toolkit is super easy to use.
I even made a youtube video explaining how to use it. Even though my video is for an older version, you should still be able to use it as reference!!

I get as far as the step that says "boot into recovery". I enabled USB Debugging, and I have the drivers installed, but the PC still says error: device not found. I had the same problem before, and I reinstalled the drivers, but it's still not orking. Please help, thanks. I'm in fastboot on my phone, if that makes a difference. Thanks for taking me this far, I'd be lost ithout you.

Nevermind I solved the problem, but the video ended too soon! hat do I do, just drag and drop the zipped rom and install from SD card? Please tell me the steps from after clicking "toggle usb storage" on the phone. Thank you so much.

I think it only works if you go to fastboot usb mode.
Also if you already flashed a recovery, then go to the bootloader and get into the recovery manually.

you drag the zip onto your sdcard.
then you do a factory reset and then you flash the rom.
make sure to do the factory reset though.
to flash you click on the one that says install from sdcard and choose the zip

Thanks man, and I was wondering if it's possible to download other stock roms (such as the Galaxy SIII) or custom roms that were meant for other phones on my phone. Thanks for helping out a lot.
