HTC Apps installed but not visible

I've downloaded G Voice and Groove IP and they worked perfectly for me for two days - then the icons disappeared and simultaneously, Google Play stopped launching!
I've gone to Play and the apps show as "installed" on my HTC, but I can't find them by searching or using the magnifying glass search function.
When I try to download additional apps, they also don't appear on my HTC screens.
What can I do to make icons visible?

Bart, welcome to the site,

Which model HTD device do you own, and on which carrier. Have you tried a reboot of your device to see if those apps show up ?? Have you also checked in you app drawer, also if you go to the Play store and click on my apps, and if it says installed, then simply open it from the play store to see.

It's the Verizon HTC Incredible and it's above the 2.2 software load.
I've gone to the store and it shows both are installed, but I can't launch and use the app from the Store, can I? What I need is a way to see and launch Groove IP on the phone, which worked fine for a couple of days.... somehow I must have changed a setting which prevents me from seeing apps on the phone.

Welcome Bart, to the AF community :)

I would suggest to take Don's advice and try and reboot the device, if you can remove the battery do that too, take it out for 10 seconds then put it back in and reboot. Otherwise, you might want to perform a factory reset if none of your icons ever come back as it could be a software issue.

Hope this helps :)

Yes you can, when your in the Play store and it shows you the app installed, click on the app from there, it will take you to the app and allow to open or uninstall, you can do either or. I will link you up to your device forum for proper help and support there, and they might have a better answer to your issue there, cheers.

If you prefer I move this thread there so you don't have to repeat yourself and can do so, let me know, or you can re post in the device forum.

Thank you all. I called HTC support and had to do a re-set, which gave me "Market" instead of "Play". Even though support said Market would morph into Store in 24 hours, it did not. However, all works perfectly so far with Market.
