htc desire model is auto restarting what is the solution for this problem ?

It depends what caused it. We'd need more information to be certain.

If you were to post again, either here or in the main forum, telling us whether anything had changed before this (software updates are unlikely on a Desire, unless you've been installing custom software yourself), anything happened to the phone, or whether you've had other problems (app crashes, soft resets) prior to this, we might be able to advise better.

Otherwise the only thing you can do as a generic fix is:

* Remove the battery. Leave it out for a couple of minutes. Then see whether it will boot normally.

* If that isn't enough, remove the battery again to force a shutdown. Re-insert and boot while pressing the "volume down" key. This will take you to the bootloader. Note the "PVT" number at the top (may be relevant later). Select "recovery" from the menu. You'll then get a black screen with a red triangle and an exclamation mark on it (unless you are rooted and using a custom recovery - if you get a menu straight away then that's the case, in which case post again in the main forum and we'll be able to give better advice). From the red triangle screen, press power and volume together (I think it's "volume up", but may be both volume keys) and that will bring up a menu. First try erasing the cache and rebooting. If that doesn't do it, repeat the process and this time select "factory reset". This will wipe all apps and data, but if the problem is due to a corrupted app this is the one way of clearing on an unrooted phone.

The reason I asked about "PVT" number is that if you've been having other crashes before this, especially when the phone is used heavily, it might be a sign of motherboard overheating. This is most likely if the device version is PVT-1. I hope it isn't this, because if it is there is no real fix apart from a new mainboard, though in this case you might be able to boot the device (e.g. to get data off it) if you cool it first (being careful to avoid condensation).

Good luck!
