Help HTC Calendar sync problems

I have a Droid Incredible 4G and use the HTC Calendar app.

I sync it automatically with my laptop-based Google Calendar and it has been working fine for me until now. I just noticed that ALL the single, one-time entries have vanished from the phone calendar for all dates prior to June 29. Recurring entries are still there, such as monthly or weekly meetings or reminders. All entries (one-time and recurring) are intact in my Google Calendar. I can add new entries to my phone or Google Calendar (for dates before or after June 29) and they show up on the phone and sync fine with my Google Calendar.

Problem solved.
I used Google Calendar Help for some recommended solutions. I don't know why this worked, but it did.
On the phone's Settings I selected Accounts & Sync. I selected the Google account then unchecked the box next to Sync Calendar to disable the sync. Then I checked the same box to re-enable. Then wait a couple minutes while for auto-sync to resume. Then Restart the phone. All my old Calendar entries are back.
