Help Htc Camera Can't Enable Voice Capture

In the camera -> pulldown menu -> settings -> camera options,
"Voice capture" is off, and clicking the checkbox makes it turn green, but does not toggle it.
The other checkboxes here work correctly though.

How fix?

Hi, the toggle to 'On' works ok for me, enabling voice operation of camera or video.

You haven't mentioned having tried anything thus far so I suggest you try a 'Force stop' and clear cache/clear data for the Camera app and if that doesn't clear it try a 'Wipe cache partition'.

OH! It works for you! Thank god. Why didn't I think of that?

Clearing data doesn't work.
Clearing cache lol

A) Reboot

Users report, the camera starts to work after a reboot Android-devices. Sometimes you have to restart the gadget several times to achieve the desired result. In any case, it makes sense to try this simple way - switch off and back on your smartphone or tablet.

B) Restart in Safe Mode

Each Android-powered device has a download function in "Safe Mode" feature, that is, you reset the phone and turn it on, activating only the basic applications and a limited number of available options. Safe Mode is great for troubleshooting, since the downloaded applications will be disabled and you will be able to determine whether or not there is a conflict between the various software developers and third-party system software related to the use of cameras.
