[Android Question]

The phone will charge via USB to computer but will not connect via internet pass through yet was set back to factory reset now why does it do that... also had it sent to the factory and it even dims down while texting in the dark. WHY?

Dimming when texting in the dark sounds like the brightness is set to automatic - it then uses a light sensor to reduce brightness in dark environments and vice-versa.

As for the USB connection, have you tried a different USB port (never use a hub), or a different cable? It's possible for the data connection in a cable to break but it still be OK for charging. Can you copy files via the cable, or does it do nothing but charge? If the latter I'd definitely try a different port/cable.
