Help HTC Desire HD help

Hi first time here and i need help, I'm trying to reset my phone and i can't do it at all. I tried the VOL DOWN+Power button combo but when I do it correctly I get the HTC splash screen not the HBOOT. Is there a solution into this also the phone has no damages whatsoever.

Welcome to AF elargentino94. You should be able to initiate a factory reset by going into your settings>storage>factory data reset ... or something similar. Sorry, I don't have a Desire HD but it should be there somewhere. Good luck.

There should be a factory reset option in the phone's menu. Look in the "privacy" menu, as that's where it is on mine ("Factory data reset", though I don't use HTC software so the naming may differ).

As for getting into recovery, how exactly are you doing it? You should shut the phone down completely, then boot the phone while keeping "volume down" depressed. Make sure the phone is fully shut down first - it won't work with the "fast boot" that HTC introduced a couple of years ago (which the Desire - this forum - does not have, but I believe the Desire HD does).
