Im having some rather consistent and persistently annoying issues with my HTC Desire. Can handle them on private calls but having them occur more often and on business calls is frustrating and embarassing.
Wondering if anyone has ever experienced these issues and if so how they remedied them. I think some are phone related and some may be network related, but Im not sure...
1. When on a voice call phone will put call on hold and dial another, random number from my contacts list. Sometimes I am unable to access the screen to hang up the new call and unhold the first. Sometimes it doesnt even matter becasue the caller will have hung up thinking I rudely put them on hold without saying anything. Most times I end up having to end both calls and make a call back
2. Phone will hang up mid call and dial the same number back again within a second, so that I dont even know Ive lost the call until I look at my phone and see the dial in progress
3. Phone will call numbers from my contacts (not the recent call list, which might be understanable to some degerree, but the contacts book which and this is so random...it will pull out numbers from deep within this). This will happen when phone screen should be locked. This happens continuously and may even occur when phone is sitting on my desk or in its holder in the car, so I am sure its not my hands or any other movement activating the screen and dialling a number
4. If I am on a voice call, phone can hang up when another call is coming through. I dont get the incoming call message, but a missed call will appear in my phone list at the time the phone dropped out. This can also happen when a sms is received (this is a relative new little surprise bug)
6. A very poor battery life, 8hours has now been reduced to less than an hour from full charge. No bluetooth, no wifi searching, no auto sync on background data. I have to carry a charger EVERYWHERE i go. What else could be casuing this tremendous drain?
7. Back of phone gets VERY hot, though some days its AOK. Storage/carry conditions remain the same.
**Reboots, sys updates do not make improvement in function.
Any suggestions/advise/sharing of similar experiences and remedies would be greatly appreciated
