Help HTC Desire-Little Icons bottom right on contacts pictures?

Hey everyone....I was just generally browsing my Desire and on one of the home screens I have a contact widgit showing all my contacts pics and names for quick access but I noticed on 2 of them on the bottom right of there profile picture it shows a little icon that looks like a postcard...anyone know what it means?

Oh and one contact has a little phone icon in the same place....just strange how the others don't.

Those icons show what is the default action for each contact when you click the image. The one at the top-left means "phone her home number"; the one at the top-middle means "phone the only number stored for this contact"; the one at top-right means "phone his mobile number". Middle-left means "send her an email", and the one at bottom-right means "bring up her contact details card so I can choose what to do".

Here's what the manual says about setting the default action for a contact:

1. Press Home and then go to the People widget.
2. Tap a contact on the widget.
3. On the Select default action screen, tap the communication method you want for the
contact.

Changing the default action takes a bit more effort:

If you want to change the default action for communicating with a contact on the People
widget, you must first remove this contact from the group. Add this contact back to the
group, and then choose the new communication method.
1. Remove the contact from the group.
2. Add the contact back to the group.
3. Choose the default communication method.
