HTC Desire ROM

HTC Desire should to have 512 Mb of Rom and 576 Mb of RAM, but definetly my Desire show a total of 147,62 Mb in ROM, where are the others MB to arrive to 512? to check this i'm using Android Assistant in the phone space info (ROM)?


Anyone can give me an help?

"internal storage" is the data partition. This is just one partition that takes up the NAND Space. Yes unfortunately you get 147MB only.

Thanks for your quick answer but definetly I'm not able to understand why instead of 512 as the specification I have only 147,62 also after a complete format of the phone. The same software Andoid assistant on a HTC desire S shows the correct ROM size of 1,13 GB as specification. What you say is that I am unlucky but sorry in IT there isn't unlucky, what I'm thinking is that in this desire was not installed the properly ROM. The HTC support actually is not able to solve my issue, it seems a new problem for them.

ist - Its to do with how the memory was sorted/arranged on the Desire, I totally share your frustration.

Like you say its exact on the Desire S.

Hence from what I know (i could be wrong) that all phone ie Desire S onwards have BETTER memory conditions !

Yuh pays your money OR root the desire if you're not wanting to pay for an increased sized memory phone !
