Help htc desire s memory problem !!

Hi there ..
i have Htc desire s and i have installed many apps but now everytime i try to update or install any new apps it keeps telling me that memory full !! but i checked it out and there is more than 700 MB free internal memory and more than 6GB free memory on my Sd card !!
can any one help me with this problem ??

If your phone can't read the internal memory of the phone there's a problem, firstly try moving apps to sd card and see if memory improves, secondly if you are.rooted back up apps and data with titanium backup then factory reset the phone then restore them
