Help HTC Desire Video Out of Sync Issue

I am having an issue where the video and audio are out of sync using my HTC Desire.

I am using videos I have already converted for play on an iPhone and work without an issue.

I am also having the same problem on youtube videos that I stream using Wifi to my handset.

It is only every so slightly out of sync.

I have a few people I am speaking to now with the same issue, and I also tried video on a test handset in the store I bought mine from which gives the same issue.

Is anyone else noticing this problem?
 
I noticed this on a vid I was streaming off youtube the other day but I just put it down to the source file being the issue.

If there's a general problem we'll find out via this thread !

Have you called HTC?

I called them this morning and there is someone else from another forum who called them just after me as well.

If you have the time to do it please call them so they will take our issue seriously.

Nice one.

The more people the better.

If they cannot find a fault I think I am gonna send my device to them with a couple of videos on the sd card that they can play it and see for themselves.
 
Same problem here.. And my colleague has the same problem on his Desire as well.

Iphone users don't seem to have this problem.

Have you called HTC and told them your having this problem?

If not please call them and ask them to look into it. I am still waiting for a response but as soon as I get anything back I will update you here.

Also get your friend to call.

Make sure you get your case ID code so you can follow it up.

Is there a way to contact them by mail? It's virtually impossible for me to call since I'm at work..
 
I recieved my Desire yesterday and noticed the same problem.:eek: I read this thread and immediately fired off an email to HTC.

If everyone does this they might fix it!:p

I'm going to be calling HTC again today to try and get an update.

Anyone else received any information back from them yet?
 
I have emailed HTC and got a response, they reckon there is no widespread issue, yet lots of people are complaining of this issue.

In regards to video sync playback, we can help you with that.

We performed a test in our HTC desire and there is no fault while playing the videos. This could be a software issue or bug in the OS and we recommend to perform a hard reset on it(make sure to back up all your data before the reset) if this doesn't work then contact us and we will book in your device to be repaired. HTC Desire with snapdragon processor was highly tested to play videos or and other functions from the OS.

I just called HTC regarding my/our fault.

They are passing it up to the main headquarters in Taiwan.

Once they get back to me I will let you know.
 
i have kinda the same problem.
when i move i recorded video from the phone to the computer, it has no sound at all.
but when i convert it to AVI. the sound comes back, BUT the sound is out of sync.
i have emailed HTC. but havend got reply yet.
 
i just called HTC and they are still waiting to hear back from head office about this problem.

I dont know what to do if they dont fix this issue as it really bugs me and stops me from viewing any videos on the device.

I will call them back a week from now if I dont hear anything before then.
