Help HTC desire wont power up? :(

my htc desire was fine this morning was using it fine, although it has been crashing a bit lately its running open desire rom. and all off a sudden just turned off and wont power on again :( anyone know what may be wrong? annoying thing is its still under warranty but because im running a custom rom will they know or should i just risk it anyway, also photos,videos etc on there im not too keen on sharing lol

Are you sure its off?

Reason I ask is some of the custom.kernels have black screen of death problems where screen goes off and phone wont respond.

Pull the battery and turn on. If it does turn on, try a more stable kernel
 
Hi, yes definatly off, took batter few times and tried to startup but just nothing black screen and no power also when i try to charge it the light does not come on the phone... very strange as it was fine this morning?

Complete battery failure perhaps? Know anyon else with a desire? To try their battery?
