Help HTC Desire Z keeps shutting off?

I got my HTC Deisre Z for Christmas , and starting today it has been randomly shutting off , for no reason at all , and the chargers plugged..I have no idea whats wrongs because I've been taking care of my phone , It's done it 3 times the past hour..PLEASE someone HELP!!!!!!!

Try taking the battery out, cleaning the contacts and putting it back in. If the problem is caused by dirty contacts, this should resolve the issue. If not, then it could be a defect in your unit.
