Hi I'm very new to Android phones, and therefore very green with knowledge! If one of my existing contacts sends me their new number in a text message but from their old phone, how do I update/replace this in my contacts list?

e.g 'Hi this is my new number 0123456789'

In theory you might be able to cut/paste the new number from the text message. Long Press your finger on the new number. If it works you'll be able to get a dialog box which should allow you to copy the number into the clipboard. Once in the clipboard you'll need to go to the contact list and paste it into the phone number field for the contact in question. Otherwise you'll have to manually copy the number into your contact list.
