Help HTC DHD in screen crack

Hi guys ,
Hi there I recently purchased a refurbished HTC desire HD. I made the purchase around 2 months ago. On my phone I have had a screen protector and a case around it and I cannot recall dropping the phone excessively or aggressively. Yet i seem to have a large crack on the inside of the screen. The crack is defintly on the inside cause i cant feel it and its more clear when the light shines on it.Also sometimes when using the screen all those pixels on the crack turn white. I have just contacted the people i purchased it from (buymobiles) because they stated that it comes with a 12month mechnical warranty. I was wondering what other possible cause of action i have. If you need any more information or a picture please ask.

If you definitely didn't drop it or damage it in anyway, I'd give HTC a call, see what they say. As far as I'm aware, all of the DHD's come with a 2 year manufacturers warranty so if you press them a little and say you didn't drop it, you should be ok.

Obviously, if you did drop it, you wouldn't be covered under warranty.

Hi there thanks for the intial reply. I gave my decive to HTC and they stated that the problem was not under warranty. They have given me a bill for

HTC never cover for screen related problems, doesn't matter who caused it or what happened they will never cover you. Had to pay myself a few months ago which was a bitch, exactly the same amount but at least its fixed now.

You can fix it yourself, there are videos on youtube and kits on ebay, make sure you know what you are doing though, you have to take a fair bit of the phone apart but if you're up to the job then watch some videos on youtube about it.
