The display resolution would be interesting to know. And what about GPS?

Maybe i should buy the HTC Dream instead of the Xperia X1.

Good question. Still unknown I believe unless someone else wants to chime in?

i'm glad they came out with a 3MP camera, my current phone is a SE K800i (3.2MP) so it'll be a smooth transition for me! I hope the battery life is good as it's very decent on the K800i (5/6days) also bluetooth support?

I don't understand why so many "feature" phones only have a 2MP camera. Even the low/mid range phones seem to have this... up the specs!

Also, I'd rather have optical zoom and flash options than more megapixels.

optical zoom on an phone just ain't gonna happen anytime soon as it uses lenses and lenses take up space! as for the flash thing i agree with you! My k800i has a proper camera flash and it really shows in the photos!

there are already phones out that have optical zoom. it just seems that manufacturers are more readily willing to pack more megapixels than redesign their hardware to accommodate a lens.

But this is off topic... HTC SPECS!

Im a sidekick owner and im thinkin bout upgrading to the dream when it comes out.

But i love the messaging on sidekicks...and being have to have push notification...and being able to leave the AIM app running and all the other messengers...

i kno the dream has IM but i wonder how it will compare to the sidekicks OS..cuz sidekicks have the BEST im features out there.....

i wonder if the dream will allow you to leave the AIM apps open and will it have push...

i'd say the HTC Dream will support multi app running goodness (as processors are only getting smaller and faster right?). And as for the OS supporting it, IT'S OPEN SOURCE PPL (honestly some people struggle to grasp the concept of open source)

MMS, perhaps? I know that's one thing my iPhone-loving older brother misses a lot. With luck, maybe we'll be able to get MMS capabilities on the Dream/G1 and I can shove it in his face! :p

Any word on if it'll support EDGE? I live in the middle of nowhere, but we have EDGE. No chance of UMTS in the next 10 years either... Dallas will be getting LTE about the time I get UMTS. -_-

Good question I think Yes (it will have). HTC usually put EDGE in own devices. What I know EDGE is now standard for cellphone industry only SE don't put EDGE in own device, usually, some models have.

Anyone knows more about Bluetooth support?

I saw irishgandalf ask this before and I saw it come back on some other website's that people are wondering if it has Bluetooth support. Anyone who knows something about this?

HTC Dream it will have Bluetooth 2.0. But tomorrow we know all device specs. Also I want that Dream support Bluetooth with A2DP profile.
Well I need to wait till I get home to hear everything. Am at school today... That sucks..

But glad that it has Bluetooth, some said it would have Bluetooth but I don't know where they heard that lol...

Hmm it is not much bigger then my current Nokia as I see the dimensions.

Well it has all the things that I need, and as HCSC says 'Maybe next update will support other things or some 3th party app'.

I mostly like the battery life.

Talk time:

  • Up to 350 minutes for WCDMA
  • Up to 406 minutes for GSM
Standby time:
  • Up to 402 hours for WCDMA
  • Up to 319 hours for GSM
13 days standy as a GSM :).

Does anybody know if this phone will support tethering for laptop internet access? I can't wait for the day where your phone will broadcast its own mini wifi network!
