HTC Droid Eris wallpapers?

I use google images and long press the image to save.

I think there's an app in the Marketplace (Backgrounds?).

Anyone have an idea on how you can get the Eris to allow you to choose backgrounds other than your camera directory for the lock screen? It seems strange that the dialog/process for the home screen is different than the lock screen. Do i have to resort to sticking the wallpapers I want in the DCIM folder?

I've tried a few different apps for backgrounds and mablio is good. I tend to use "wallpapers, advanced" more often though. Can't remember the real name of it. That's the name in the 'all programs' list.

Not sure who's idea that was.... It is kinda dumb. Nonetheless, one of the background apps I tried would prompt you for applying the image you selected to the main screen or to the lock screen. Don't recall which one that was... It's not "mablio" or "wallpapers, advanced".

no

any picture in your albums app, which should inlcude a album called download, if you open a picture to view it. hit menu, hit set as, hit lock screen.

done.

out of an app though, idk, you can't in backgrounds app, but you can save it. then do what i said above from the downloads album.

I have a problem with this process, as my phone won't show the newly downloaded wallpapers or pics i download from the web unless I soft reset. Any thoughts?

I use any of the apps that go to Flickr, or just Google Image. find one I like, save to SD card. Then in albums, choose it, "set as" wallpaper. Easy!

Ok this is driving me nuts....

I've downloaded a bunch of wallpapers using the Backgrounds app. I've saved them onto my SD card, but they don't show up under Albums. I tried converting the images to .jpg from .png 's and put them back in my card. I've tried putting them in different folders and I STILL can't see them in Albums. I just want to set one image as my lock screen image... WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK?

Please help... I somehow did it before, my current lock screen image is something that's not even on my card. I downloaded it and set it a while back... I can't seem to see any of the images I want to set as my lock screen wallpaper under Albums. If I didn't love this phone so much I might launch this out the window. It's a stupid issue, I don't see what the freak is wrong.

Yup... I should've mentioned that, I use Astro file manager. When I click on an image, I have the option to view the image using the Albums or the app's photo viewer. Trying to view any of the images I like with Albums from Astro, for whatever reason, just opens up Albums and pulls up the first image. None of the images I actually WANT to look at show up under Albums and it's seriously driving me up the ****ing wall.

hmmm. I don't use astro. OI gives you a 'set as' option when you click menu while the image is in full view. If clicking menu doesn't bring up a list of options through astro, try long pressing on the file name.

IT WORKS! I still can now actually view a single image using Albums! I can't open up Albums though and browse to the images I want, but OI is a good enough workaround. Thanks! I wish things would work the way I expect it to but at this point I don't give a squat.

glad it worked - as a work around. Wish I could help you with your albums problem. Do you have a task killer installed? If you have apps like footprints or camera set to auto kill that could effect your albums.

I downloaded an app from the market called "Nexus One Live Wallpaper" or something. It's a generic version of the app from the Nexus One that should work for any phone that supports the function (from Android 2.1). It doesn't work for me... Hell, I don't even know how to launch the app !
