Root HTC EVO 4G Overclocking Question

I am currently on firmware 2.3.3 and I am waiting for the 2.3.3 root to come out.....I am planning on overclocking......if i overclock my EVO 4G, will apps like N64oid run smoother and with less lag??
 
Possibly, depends on the app, and the Rom you're on. I'd assume an AOSP Rom would give you better performance.
