Help HTC EVO 4G Problem-Wifi Works Only

Hello everyone.

I'm a bit of a newbie so I apologize in advanced if my wording or terms are wrong. I used to have a rooted EVO. After hearing about the latest update I figured I wanted it. The official OTA update. I know you cannot accept OTA updates when rooted. So I then decided to unroot my phone.

Here's the problem. I removed the root just to find out my phone is no longer working. I will boot up like normal. Everything looks normal. BUT, I can't send or receive calls nor can I txt. So something must have went wrong?

The method I had tried was using HTC SYNC and loading the rom threw there. It was super quick but I have this problem now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

Also, I forgot to mention everything on the phone. So I will state what i can.

  • Model Number-PC36100 (Pretty sure that wasn't there before I tried this. Could be wrong)
  • Firmware Version-2.1-update1
  • Baseband Version 2.05.00.06.10
  • Kernal Version 2.6.29-789bf291 htc-kernal@and18-2 #1
  • Build Number 1.47.651.1 CL195459 release-keys
  • Software Number 1.47.651.1
  • Brower Version Webkit3.1
  • PRI Version 1.90_003
  • PRL Version 01115

Also, I don't know if this matters. But I do live in the USA. Thanks again!

UPDATE. I've managed to get the system back to 3.70 Android version 2.2
Problem is the calling and txting parts still do not work. Although i did manage to connect to wi-fi and start the OTA update. Maybe this will fix the phone not working issue?
