Well its been done. A ported copy of Froyo has successfully been installed on the Evo.

So how many of you will do this and how many will wait for the official upgrade via sprint/HTC?

I'll go ahead and root right away, but I'll likely wait to change ROMs when there is one with Froyo and Sense.

That's my understanding. Sense is unique to the device and HTC has to create an undate for 2.2.....I could be wrong.

Sadly, Toast's FroYo does not support 4G. If thats not a problem for you, cool... But for stability and 4G options, I'll root and stick with 2.1 until they're ready.

Awesome work though -- Toast is a beast of a dev.
