Assuming you're using HTC sense... click on the Add to Home plus symbol on the menu bar at the bottom. Click on Widget and scroll down to find, Settings. Select Settings and then select the "4G" widget from the Add settings widget menu. You should see a widget on the home screen, select it to enable or disable it.
