Help htc evov 4g virgin mobile

i just got a htc evov 4g from virgin mobile and i,ve had nothing but problems with it. my biggest problem is no signal i have the grey bars but always has a x above them. i live in an area that has great 3g coverage for vm but just dont get signal. i have done the prl update and profile update and still no signal. is there something i can do to make it have a good signal or make it bounce off off a sprint tower. i have a verison and sprint tower 3 miles from my house. are there any settings in the phone that can be changed to get 3g working every now and then i,ll get a 1x up and down cant make calls can only use it if i,m on wifi. any help would be great

Send it back and get a newer model. The V is just to old now,no more support or nothing. Used to be great in it's time thou. I didn't even no Virgin was selling selling them.

thanks thats what i did they sent me a new one with the sprint logo on it and it works like a champ thanks for the reply.
