htc first wont vibrate

Ok, my phone is on vibrate but when I get a message it won't vibrate. I don't know what's wrong with it. Please help me!

Hold the down volume until it turns the volume all the way off. It should vibrate. If it doesn't, I'd suspect a burned out vibrator (it's a tiny little motor), a broken wire or a problem on the motherboard.
