HTC hero android error parsing package

Hello, am having a HTC hero with firmware version 2.1-update 1,
Base band version 63.18.55.06pu_6.35.15.14,
Kernel version 2.6.29-36d5cb8d htc-kernel@and18-2 #1,
Build number 3.35.771.2 CL327574,
Software number 3.35.771.2..

when i download apps i can't install them it says package parsing error. can some one help please. Thanks

It's usually not a parsing error as such. (A parsing error means that the phone can't make sense of the file.) It usually means that the package you're trying to install won't run on your hardware or in your version of Android. It happens most often when you download the apk file from someplace other than the Play store. (The Play store uses your phone information to choose the right version of the app to send you.)
