HTC Hero from IWireless

I got a Iwireless HTC Hero phone from where I work at Krogers and I would really love to learn how to get it rooted. I do know they use sprint towers cause they told me that sprint charges them when you use picture messages. The one I have has the 2.1 update firmware on it. If anybody could help me get my phone rooted so i can do alot more like get rid of some of the apps I don't use on it and all it would greatly appreciate it.

z4root seems to be missing from the market. But, apparently you can find it easily with a quick google.
I'm a fool.

(I thought I'd try a new root method on a hero I inherited from a coworker. I want to customize it for my 13-year-old.)
