My HTC droid inc 2 says connected to internet and excellent signal but I can't get into the internet here at home. I have internet every place else where it is available. Can anyone give me an answer?:mad: Still haven't been able to get into the internet my westell wireless/modem still says excellent connection. I can even get into my son's time warner cable roadrunner does anyone know if this is a frontier.com problem or the HTC Droid inc2? Please this is driving me crazy.
 
yes i'm using wifi from frontier.com my mac address, my ip matches but when I turn on the wifi on the phone it says excellent signal and shows it to be connected but I can't use the internet or send and receive emails. I can connect on any open wifi and it works beautifully.

There is something the Incredible 2 doesn't like. I can't remember what it is. You can change a setting on your router... Durn...
 
I have a westell 7500 gateway modem/wireless router and it only has b/g wireless. Strange thing when I got this phone it worked for a month until our electricity went out and even though I reset the modem/wireless router it still won't work. It works on 3g (but I already used this up) and wifi every where else. I took the battery out of the phone and waited about 30 seconds and rebooted the phone but still doesn't work. I went to Verizon and they had no solutions. I have PagePlus cellular as my cell phone provider and they were also puzzled. Any help would be appreciated

I have had 3 wifi routers in my life that have been fried because of power surges. I honestly think you need to get a new router and a battery backup surge protector. I know it can be expensive up front, but 150-200 bucks compared to 60 bucks 3 or more times is not that bad.

It isn't my router because I have a wireless computer in the basement and a blu-ray disc player hooked up to the router and they both work fine. I have checked and double checked my settings to match my phone to my router and it just won't let me connect. I can connect on any open wifi but not my own. Frontier tells me there is nothing they can do and page plus cellular says there is nothing they can do and even verizon says there is nothing they can do. I guess I'm up the creek without a paddle hu?
 
I want everyone looking at this thread that even though my modem/wireless westell 7500 showed excellent connection on my phone (no internet or email) but also showed excellent connection and running speeds on my computer, blu-ray, and my downstairs wireless computer that my modem was really bad. I talked to frontier again and talked to a person who really knew what she was doing and ended up switching to a netgear 7550 and everything works great including my HTC droid incredible 2. The phone is great and so is page plus cellular.
