HTC Incredible S?

[Powelly]

Hi all.
I've decided to venture into the world of android, and I've been eyeing off the Incredible S. But its also come to my attention that there are many other android smartphones out there with dual core processors and biggers screens and such.
My price range is probably around $500-650 AUD, so thats another reason why the Incredible is appealing.
Just wanted to hear anyones suggestions on any other phones that would be about that price, but perhaps more up-to-date with current hardware.
Also I am liking the 8MP camera on the Incredible, but I am sure there are others out there with similar cameras
Cheers
Dom

It's a good phone to consider.

Here are 3 alternatives for you in the same price range:
1) HTC Desire S - basically the same phone with a smaller screen (3.7" vs 4").
2) Ericsson Arc - this has a similar hardware and price, but better design.
3) LG Optimus 2X - with more powerful hardware (dual-core processor).
