So, a few months ago, I rooted my HTC Desire/Inspire HD 4G, because the Gingerbread 2.3 Stock ROM was giving me system crashes every few days, sometimes more than once a day. It also run sluggishly slow and refused to be agreeable. I loaded Ice Cold Sandwich 3.x, and it worked well for a while. It never had an issue with Network Service.
Around Tuesday, my phone refused to access any network. I had to Power Off the phone and remove the battery a few times after Cold Reboot and Hot Reboot would not yield any results. When trying to access the Carrier Settings, the phone gives me an error trying to access them. Finally after removing the battery a few times, it would access the Network again and all was fine for a while. Then, today, I had the same issue, and not even removing the battery would cure it. The phone simply said, "No SIM Card," even though the SIM Card is seated in the phone properly and not damaged at all. I then did some research, and realized there was now an ICS version 7. I updated that phone, and I finally had cell phone service...for an hour. Now I'm back to where I was before. I am at a loss of what to do other than change ROMs.
What should I do?
