Help HTC legend power button problem

Hi,
i'm lokking for a way to set a different button to turn the screen on to unlock the phone,i need that because my power button has gone and the htc service said that i must wait about a weak or longer... so i read this threads :

and read the other threads like them... and i tried "no lock" and other apps to wake my phone up when the screen is off. but when i'm using no lock; in the begining everything is ok, the app is working ok.i can use different buttons to turn it. and a little bit later i tired to wake my phone with track ball, or volume buttons i can not do it... everything turns back again... it's unstable...i need really help i'm using usb connection to turn the screen on....

maybe later; i can try "button remaper" for remaping the power key... But it isn't free.. is anıy body know like button remaper app? but i need free version, 4,5$ is too much for this ...
