Help HTC Magic auto disabling wifi

Hello,

Im having an issue with my HTC Magic, its auto disabling the Wifi connection after like 5-10 mins of inactivity, i have wifi on my house (where i spend most of the time) and i use this connection to browse on the phone but when im not using it he switches wifi off and goes to 3G and start consuming my data plan.

What could this be?

Sounds like the wifi sleep policy, which you'll find in your wifi settings.

But i cant find that option in the wifi setting, im using Android 1.6.

When in your wifi settings, press your menu button and it should come up with advanced options, it's in there that you'll find it.
