HTC Mail Client Useless?

Evening everyone,

So one issue I am starting to have is major problems with the HTC Mail client. It does not update no matter what I set the check new mail frequency interval to. It will maybe check it once, then after that I have to manually check for e-mail. That's useless to me. I have tried re adding the account many times. I have even re set the phone back to factory settings. Notifications also work intermittently as well. Is anyone else having this issue? I'm hoping I am not alone. Should I just use the built in GMaill app? (yes it's a gmail account). What do all you guys use? Any thoughts?

Thanks

I'm having a similar problem and I'm not too convinced as to how good the stock app is. Anyone have good alternatives? I'm using the Gmail app and have Hotmail on the stock app.

I run stock with 8 accounts from 5 different servers and some timed and some manual... not ever a problem. Is there an all you installed prior to errors? Idk...

Use seven mail. It's a third party program currently in beta. It pushes mail from all your accounts, and is much better than teh stock mail application that ships with the hero.

I use both apps and the only issue I have is the Yahoo account errors with "wrong password" every once in a while. I have had to delete my Yahoo account twice and it will start working after I set it back up.

Who is your mail host and how to you have the account setup? http, pop, imap...?
