Help HTC Messages App icon not working

I have the app icon for the HTC Messages app on my home screen. But when I press the on the "Messages" app it opens the weather or some other random app. Is anyone else having this problem?
 
I've restarted and it still does it. Sometimes it will go to the messages app, but sometimes it goes to other apps. Whats a hard reset?
