Root HTC one frozen.

Hello, i am on the Team Win Recovery Project v2.5.0.0 and i am stuck on the main page stating Install;Wipe;Backup;Restore;Mount;Settings;Advanced;Reboot. With a lock screen stating "TWRP" saying Swipe to Unlock. I have tried the power button and down on the volume but the lights on the bottom just keep flashing and the screen doesnt change. Any idea to get out of this page? Have i damaged my phone?

Hello!
Do you have the TWRP recovery "touch" recovery? What I mean is, can you just touch "reboot" and then you get the option to reboot "system"?
Or is that recovery version navigable via the device buttons only?

I'm not familiar with the HTC one, but if the battery is removable, remove, then reinsert/reboot.
If not, press/hold the power key for 20 seconds or so to force reboot.

Also, what precipitated this event? Were you in the process of rooting/installing a custom recovery? Anything out of the ordinary?

The battery is not removable, and the power button does nothing even if held down for long periods of time.
I was just rooting my new device and this happened to me, nothing custom.

Oh wow. Sorry I am unable to offer any more help, but what I've done is moved your thread into your devices root forum and hopefully someone with your device can help:(
Try to be patient as it's the Memorial Day weekend in the States (not knowing where you are from) and folks may not be on here as much.

There has got to be some sort of button combo to force a reboot of some sort.
Odd that the screen and your hardware buttons are unresponsive.

I really hope someone can help ya :)

There is a button combo that i have done that i mentioned in my first post. "power button and down on the volume but the lights on the bottom just keep flashing and the screen doesnt change."

I thought that may have been an attempt at navigating through the options in TWRP. Some older versions of TWRP were not the "touchscreen" versions ;) (navigate with the volume up/down buttons, and the Power button to select the option)

You need to power reset.

On the One M8 you hold volume up and power until it resets.

On the One X, you just hold power for a while.

So, those are the models before and after the One - one of those two will probably work.

Not volume down + power, that's the turn on sequence to get to recovery, only.

Both volume buttons and power will reset your battery stats and charging circuit - try that if neither of the above works.

I tried that but it never worked. I figured it out though. Hold the HTC upto a very bright light (such as a lightbulb) with the sensor right under it too overload it while holding down the power button for 15 seconds it will turn off the phone 100% of the time.
