Did unlocked the phone, downloaded CWM latest version via ADB & fastboot. And when entering RECOVERY, it stucks bottloading recovery mode but doeas not enter RECOVERY MODE. Just a loading message.
The phone was locked to Vodafone. Now it does not matter if I loose waranty.
Just kind of afraid, I am stuck with some too new version. Please help, with some threads or direct solutions.

Yeah, if you've unlocked then there are recoveries which work with that firmware.

I've never used CWM with the M7, but am using TWRP right now with the latest firmware. I've not used 2.8.6.0, but I've installed 2.6.3.3, 2.7.1.1 and 2.8.5.0 on my device while using this firmware, so you don't have to worry about having firmware that's too new to install a custom recovery.

Hey, Hadron, you have metioned you could install 2.7.1.1 and 2.8.5.0 on your device. However these versions do not work for my device. Only 2.6.3.3 does. And I am planning to go on cyanogenmod. But the recovery of 2.6.3.3 will be too old I recon.
Could you suggest me how to succesfully get on twrp later version.
Thank you

What could be the problem?
At the moment the only recovery TWRP-2.6.3.3 works for phone, others crash, no CWM would work either. Tried flashing different RUU, but nothing helps to push newest TWRP/CWM recovery image. Changed CID
So please, advice where to look for situation/solution

The TWRP recovery issue is well documented over at XDA developers. Only 2.6.3.3 seems to be working. As of yet i am led to believe there is no solution. Even people with s-off have tried with different firmware with no luck.

I hear you shauny13. It comes so to be true. have tried most variantions, I believe, up to my knowledge, except to downgrading the hboot. Could this be of some chance
However I am still new to android development tools, and dont wish to work in true/false-flash/brick casino.
Thanks for response

And I can see, users have flashed cyanogenmod to the M7 models, so some option then is. Making to believe its in a way of hboot version and different firmware
