Hello,

I am trying to remove CM11. Now at some point I have made a misstep and tried to install a RUU which was v 1.29 for Europe. My phone is currently stuck in Bootloader and has no OEM whatsoever and says that it is relocked. I am not sure if my phone is S-ON or S-OFF as at the top of my screen it says the following:
M7_UL_PVT_SHIP S-ON RH.

I also have my get var info below.

(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.57.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 4T.29.3218.08
(bootloader) version-cpld: None
(bootloader) version-microp: None
(bootloader) version-main: 6.09.401.5
(bootloader) version-misc: PVT SHIP S-ON
(bootloader) serialno:
(bootloader) imei:
(bootloader) meid: 00000000000000
(bootloader) product: m7_ul
(bootloader) platform: HBOOT-8064
(bootloader) modelid: PN0710000
(bootloader) cidnum: HTC__J15
(bootloader) battery-status: good
(bootloader) battery-voltage: 4128mV
(bootloader) partition-layout: Generic
(bootloader) security: on
(bootloader) build-mode: SHIP
(bootloader) boot-mode: FASTBOOT
(bootloader) commitno-bootloader: dirty-6d8a0b9b
(bootloader) hbootpreupdate: 11
(bootloader) gencheckpt: 0

I am unsure what to do, I would appreciate any help whatsoever as I am stuck. I am currently downloading a V1.28 RUU and dont know if this is the right one. Please help me as I am lost. I also have an issue where I have tried to use Squabbi's HTC Toolkit v3.1.2 and I am not sure if I have ADB installed correctly as I have downloaded the Toolkit and the Slim SDK and when I try to push revone to the device it says waiting for device and doesnt change. Thanks.

Giridhar.

RUUs are not for Europe or USA.

It has to be for your CID, HTC__J15, and your exact model number.

Right now, your phone doesn't work but it's not permanently reduced to a paperweight either.

Your best move right now is to stop what you're doing and say what you really want - for example, latest stock HTC Lollipop? Or something else?

Can you get into TWRP?

Do you have a nandroid backup of your Sense rom prior to your CM installation?

Do you have any nandroid backups?

Btw - I removed your serial and IMEI numbers. Never give those out ok.

PS - your phone is definitely s-on.

Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply, to answer your questions:

1. I am trying to get my phone back in working condition with stock HTC Sense OS.

2. I am trying to flash the TWRP.img into my phone as my phone is stuck in BL mode but I get an error
target reported max download size of 1490931712 bytes
error: cannot load 'Desktop.TWRP.img': No error

3. I have no Nandroid backups prior or post installation of CM.

I would appreciate your guidance as I seem to have soft bricked my phone (just a guess) and I dont know how to proceed. Thanks.

Giridhar.

You'll need to unlock again before you can flash TWRP.

BTW I think htc__j15 may be middle East region/Arabic, but not certain. Can try to search for RUUs later, but no time right now.

Have you had any luck unlocking the bootloader? You need to lock the bootloader to run an RUU, but unlock to flash TWRP, so it depends which you want to do.

Although I've not found an RUU that seems to be specifically for the GCC/Middle East region (which seems to be what HTC__J15 is), this site has a number of RUUs which it claims are compatible with that CID. As you have hboot 1.57 you'll need something fairly recent (as an RUU won't downgrade the phone): "RUU M7 UL K44 SENSE55 MR HTC Europe 4.19.401.9 R Radio 4A.23.3263.28 10.38r.1157.04L Release 353069 Signed 2-1" from that list is the most recent with J15 in its list of CIDs, so that would be my suggestion.
