Root HTC ONE M8- Android HD revolution HD no WiFi

Lurker
Apologies if this has already been answered but I struggle to find straight answers on forums and am new to rooting, flashing etc. But of a background in the phone I'm currently having the issue with I managed to break my ONE M8 flashing the xposed framework to it, forcing me to factory reset the phone, after that the start-up wizard stopped repeatedly when preparing SIM card. Unfortunately I am pretty stupid and didn't make a nandroid backup before rooting (yes, I am that thick). I tried a stock backup from the xda site and updating using the ruu .exe from HTC everytime it failed :(. I found Android Revolution HD and saw that it was a smoother version of HTC sense (I really wanted to keep the stock though) now I've realised that my WiFi and WiFi hotspot don't work. I've read on another conversation that I need to update/get stock firmware. I don't know how to do this or what firmware I'm supposed to flash. Really need help in either restoring my phone to stock or fixing the current Rom I use the WiFi hotspot a lot...:(

I'm going to move this to the M8 root forum and give you a hand from there.

It's going to take a little bit but let's prepare.

Can you get me a screen shot of your bootloader screen?

If not, volume down while powering on, get to FASTBOOT, plug into pc so the phone said FASTBOOT USB.

Open a command window where you have fastboot on the pc, in it say -

fastboot getvar all

Alt+space for menu, E for edit, select all, copy and paste in your reply.

Be sure to edit out the IMEI and serial numbers for your protection.

Please verify if you're on a carrier branded phone or not.

If you have a link to the RUU you tried that would save some work on this end.

One of our other M8 buds may jump in to help in the meantime. That's perfectly ok, it's how we roll.

Don't panic. Stay loose.

Sorry for the bother my m8 resetted and now it's working, dunno why but I'm not complaining. Really appreciate the help at least

Also how would I go about installing xposed to the m8 obviously when I tried last it didn't go well?
Sorry, I'm about to check out for a little bit - all I can advise is to make sure that you're using the Lollipop Xposed and matching modules - not the original - with the latest ARHD, and be forewarned that Xposed can break things.

The threads there can help some, let me know if I can answer more (but later).
